If your horse is suffering from respiratory problems, skin complaints, eye issues or digestive troubles, we are here to help with general medical care.
We will act quickly to provide the care you need.
We use a courier service to get samples to the laboratory, so that we can rapidly obtain the results of any tests we carry out.
We practise and encourage the use of preventative medicine, which includes vaccination against contagious diseases, parasite management and regular dental treatments.
In terms of feeding, we can assess whether you are providing a balanced diet and advise you on how to optimise nutrition – an area which is often misunderstood.
We can also provide gynaecological care and insemination for your mares.
An ECVS-accredited specialist with extensive clinical experience, Dr Piccot will perform treatments at home wherever possible, with no need for hospitalisation
This includes the treatment of some wounds and skin lesions, and also castrations.
One of the special treatments we offer is castration using sedation, depending on the size and temperament of the animal. This avoids narcosis and its associated risks (cardiac arrest, myositis, fracture on waking).
